Social Blogger – Contractor

We are looking for writers and bloggers to contribute (as independent consultants) to our clients products and services. This is a great opportunity to combine your passion for writing, social media. We’re seeking smart, motivated, responsible, and dedicated bloggers and writers to help us connect with and serve our customers.

You will work from home and work with your own software and computer hardware. You must be able to communicate well and be able to meet on the phone or on-site with a client from time to time. You must be able to quickly understand what clients want and work quickly to create amazing works of art for a creative group of clients. You will be asked to come up with ideas that fit and exceed client expectations.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare 5-10 blog posts per week, averaging 150-250 words and including a photo or video whenever possible.
• Broadcast posts via appropriate social media outlets, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
• Research hot topics, trends and memes in each industry of our clients.
• Share the latest and most interesting news from the “real world” community that might be relevant to our clients and their customers.
• Respond to comments and community feedback.
• Use search engine optimization (SEO) and social media optimization (SMO) best practices to drive traffic and audience engagement.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following experience and skills:

• Great writing skills; comfortable communicating online, via Twitter, Facebook, and blogging.
• At least 1 year of working with an online publication as writer, editor or similar role.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with web technologies (basic HTML).
• Excellent communication skills and an interest in other people’s opinions to foster discussion.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsible, self-motivated and flexible.
• Enthusiastic, personable, and passionate personality.
• Must have your own computer equipment and necessary software so that you can work remotely almost all of the time.

This person will work Monday through Friday on a per project basis but will be paid on a per hour basis. You will need to be able to accurately estimate your time for projects and work full time to finish projects that come our way. Senior Level Web Designer – Contractor

We are looking for a freelance mid/senior level Web Designer. You will work from home and work with your own software and computer hardware. You must be able to communicate well and be able to meet on the phone or on-site with a client from time to time. You must be able to quickly understand what clients want and work quickly to create amazing works of art for a creative group of clients. You will be asked to come up with ideas that fit and exceed client expectations.

This person will need at least 5 years of experience in some or all of the following skills (if you specialize in one or two thing that is fine with us!):

• At least 3 years of practical UI and web design experience in web or interactive media production (not print), ideally in the entertainment sector.
• Excellent demonstrable graphic design skills
• Rich media experience
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS4/CS5 – Photoshop with an emphasis on page-layout design and graphic creation. In Design and Illustrator a plus.
• Basic Flash skills (advanced skills a plus)
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, and ActionScript 3
• Strong passion for building outstanding consumer web experiences
• Strong cross-functional communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation
• Ability to produce high quality work quickly, and the tenacity to produce several rounds of iteration in pursuit of the best design solution for our games.
• Basic understanding of UI design, best practices, and web and interactive design fundamentals
• Other drawing, illustration, and 3D skills nice to see but not required
• An interest in gaming, especially in the social/casual sphere, is desired
• Ability to take direction and use constructive feedback to polish a GUI design. Must play well with others: No Prima Donnas!
• A desire to grow your skills and experience
• Must provide a portfolio demonstrating strong UI and graphic design skills
• A terrific sense of humor

Videographer/Editor/Photographer – Contract

Are you an energetic team player with well-developed organizational skills and a love of all things Video? Media Elements LLC is seeking a non-linear editor and videographer/photographer. This is not an entry level position. We are seeking persons that can work independently on assignments from concept to completion.

The successful candidate must be able to interact with clients, make video subjects feel comfortable and act as the liaison between our us and our clients. If you possess all these skills, have previously delivered and can demonstrate quality media examples suitable for almost all Medias — we’d like to hear from you!

We need an experienced person for field and studio, including post production and graphics. The candidate must be able to manage tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or creativity, deliver concepts, write scripts, shepherd clients, create graphics and distribute a quality finished product.

You must have all your own equipment or have a resource available to use!

This person will need at least 5 years of experience in some or all of the following skills (if you specialize in just a few thing that is fine with us!):

• Apple Final Cut Studio
• Studio and Field Cameras
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Various Audio Microphones & Mixers
• Production & Routing Switchers
• File Compression in various formats
• Video Servers
• DVD Authoring

Knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Multi-Camera Studio Direction, and basic Television Broadcast Air Operations workflow experience are also a plus.

Responsibilities:
Shooting and editing. Candidates must be comfortable working in the studio environment and out in the field. Experience with studio lighting is preferred.

This individual must exhibit exceptional communication and collaborative skills and be able to work with both Windows and Apple computer platforms including the listed creative applications.

Prior to hire, qualified candidates must provide references, a demo reel or DVD disk of their past work for consideration.
